Includes the above first time visit along with either a prenatal visit or a follow up visit scheduled to be within the first two weeks, totaling 2 visits. This ensures being prepared for feeding and newborn cares and that they are progressing well. Also, it is a reassurance to the mom struggling with pain and tenderness while nursing, knowing a check in is already scheduled. This is especially encouraging before the standard 2 week newborn check up with the pediatrician.
